Level 4 helps young ESL students move from basic communication into more confident, flexible English. At this stage, students work with richer vocabulary, longer readings, more detailed grammar practice, and much stronger speaking activities. Because they continue practicing both answering and asking questions, students begin to express themselves more naturally and build the confidence they need for real conversation.

Level 4 lessons are designed for young ESL students who are ready for more flexible communication, stronger reading skills, and more detailed language practice. This section includes 24 free ESL lessons teachers can use right away, along with a full curriculum of 120 structured lessons that help students build confidence across speaking, listening, grammar, reading, and vocabulary.
At this level, students work with engaging topics such as travel and video games while learning to use English more actively in class. Lessons go beyond simple beginner practice and help students speak in fuller sentences, understand more detailed texts, and respond with greater independence.
Level 4 gives students a wider range of vocabulary, stronger grammar control, and more opportunities to use English in meaningful ways. In the sample lessons, students practice topic-based vocabulary, reading passages with comprehension questions, grammar in context, and repeated speaking activities such as chat prompts, question practice, describing pictures, and speaking games.
This level is especially strong in helping students develop communication skills. Instead of only answering questions, students continue learning how to ask questions, explain ideas, and speak more naturally. By the end of Level 4, students have a much stronger foundation for conversation and are ready to move into more independent language use.
Level 4 builds on the communication foundation developed in Level 3, where students begin working at the CEFR A1 level and strengthen their confidence answering and asking questions. After completing Level 4, students are ready to continue into Level 5, where they develop even greater fluency, comprehension, and independence.
The Super English ESL curriculum also includes structured speaking lessons, phonics lessons, and themed holiday lessons to support communication, reading, and listening development across the full program.
